The ABA Death Penalty Moratorium Implementation Project has released its Florida Death Penalty Assessment Report. "The Death Penalty Moratorium Implementation Project was launched in September 2001 as the American Bar Association's "next step" in working to obtain a nationwide moratorium on executions."

This is a pace comparable to last year's, when there were 60 executions. Eighty percent of the executions have been in the South, keeping with a pattern since the death penalty was reinstated in 1976...."
