Supreme Court Rejects New Trial For Abu-Jamal.  News & Notes , October 7, 2008 · "For more than 25 years, Pennsylvania journalist Mumia Abu-Jamal has been on death row for the murder of Philadelphia police officer Daniel Faulkner.  Abu-Jamal and his supporters say he is innocent; he's gone through a long series of appeals to get the conviction overturned. Yesterday, the U.S. Supreme Court said it would not grant him a new trial. Farai Chideya speaks with Jeff Mackler, director of the Mobilization to Free Mumia Abu-Jamal campaign."
